FIND A SKIN PACK FOR YOUR OPERATING SYSTEM. Skin packs are collections of skins and programs that alter the way your installation of Windows looks and functions. Mac OS X skin packs change the icons, cursors, wallpapers, screensavers, sounds, and add Mac OS X features such as the Dock and Spaces.
Skin packs will install multiple programs at once. For this reason, skin packs are designed for specific operating systems. Make sure to download the correct version for your operating system.
You can find skin packs for all the different versions of Mac OS X, including the upcoming Mavericks release.

CREATE A SYSTEM RESTORE POINT. While most skin packs can be easily uninstalled like other programs, some systems run into issues when trying to remove the skin pack. Create a System Restore point before you install so that you have a working spot to fall back to if things go bad.
Open your System menu. To do this, right-click on Computer in your Start menu and select Properties. Windows 8 users can press the Windows Key + X and select System.
Click the System Protection link in the left menu. This will open the System Properties window, showing the System Protection tab.
Click the Create button. You will be asked to name the restore point, so give it a name that will help you remember that you created it just prior to installing the skin pack.

INSTALL THE SKIN PACK. Choose Custom Installation when installing the pack, as moist packs will automatically install browser toolbars and other unwanted programs unless you specify otherwise.

CHOOSE YOUR CUSTOMIZATION OPTIONS. During installation, you will be given the option to choose which aspects you want to install. For example, if you want everything except the OS X sounds, uncheck the Sounds box.

METHOD 3 OF 3: USING ALTERNATIVE PRINTING METHODS

PRINT USING MS OUTLOOK. You can set up a new mailbox in Outlook that is used specifically for documents you want to print. Set it up by following these instructions:
Select Rules & Alerts from the Tools menu. Copy the rule, "Clear categories on mail." When Outlook asks for the destination folder, choose Inbox or select your specific email account. Click OK.
Double click "Copy of Clear Categories on mail" to edit it. Check "With specific words in the subject" and uncheck "From people or distribution list" in the Rules Wizard.
Set up the the subject line. Click on the blue "Specific Words" and add "Print Me" or "To Printer" or any other phrase to the rules subject line search list.

Download the Automatic Print Email software on your computer.
Create a separate free Internet POP-accessible email account, like Gmail or Yahoo!. This will be the email address to which you will forward all the emails you want to print.
Set up the automatic print email program to check and print both the email message and attachment automatically, or whichever you prefer.
Click on "Your email account" in the top-left corner and then on the "New Account" link.
A wizard will pop up to help you set up your account. Start by entering what you'd like to name the email account, and selecting whether this is a POP3, IMAP4, or other type of account. Whether you're looking to open that mysterious closet, flee from cops, or simply had the unfortunate luck of getting stuck in a strange bathroom, here's your escape route. Stay calm and read on.

METHOD 1 OF 2: WITH THE KEY

IDENTIFY WHICH LOCK YOU NEED TO OPEN. Most doors have either a deadbolt, handle lock or both. The lock on the handle is known as a spring bolt; these are considerably easier to open than deadbolts.
If your door doesn't have a deadbolt, consider getting one -- it's a lot safer -- they're a lot harder to manipulate. Most burglars walk right in through the front door.

LOCATE THE KEY THAT MATCHES THE LOCK. If you own the home or place of business with the door you are trying to open, you should have received a key from the builder or landlord. If you don't have one, hopefully you know why.
If you are not the primary owner, you will need to borrow a key or have a copy made so you can unlock the door. You can even get keys copied in Wal-Mart now -- it takes just minutes.

INSERT THE KEY INTO THE KEYHOLE OF THE LOCK THAT YOU WANT TO UNLOCK. Depending on the design of the key, it may have to be inserted different ways, such as inserting the teeth side of the key up or down.
If the key doesn't slide in easily, you might have the incorrect key. Go through others in case you're having a senior moment.

TWIST THE KEY UNTIL YOU HEAR A CLICK. With many older doors, you might need to push or pull on the door as you fiddle with the key until you get it to turn.
If you're moving into a new place or borrowing a key from the main owner, try calling and asking them if you're having trouble. Someone who frequently opens the door will probably know the best tricks if there are any.
If you heard the click and felt the door loosen, it should be unlocked at this point. If you still can't open it, check and see if there's another lock (a deadbolt or handle lock). If you've unlocked every available lock and still can't open the door, there might be another inside lock blocking the door that you can't open from the outside.
METHOD 2 OF 2: WITHOUT THE KEY

FOR A BATHROOM OR BEDROOM LOCK, GRAB A SMALL SLOTTED (OR FLAT HEAD) SCREWDRIVER. This is the kind that has two edges -- the Phillips has four. And really, the smaller the better -- you want the kind that tightens eyeglasses and whatnot. If you don't have one, grab the smallest butter knife you have.
Look at your lock. Some will have a hole where you push in; others will have something you need to turn. Take your tool and experiment with both movements if you can't tell.
If you installed the lock yourself (or had it installed when you lived in the home), odds are it came with a little tool. Remember where that is? It's the tool made just for this purpose.

USE A CR CARD ON A SPRING LOCK. Though it won't work for deadbolts, it will work for spring locks (the kind that's slanted and a part of a handle). Grab one that's cheap and you don't care about -- if it breaks, no harm, no foul.
Insert it between the lock and the frame, flesh against the frame. Bend it back, forcing the lock back into the door, opening it. A laminated card works best for this, as it's generally more bendy.

USE A TENSION WRENCH AND PAPER CLIP. If you have a few tools at the ready, you're in luck. Grab a paper clip and hammer it flat. Place it on the cement or other hard surface and go to town. This will be your pick.
Insert a tension wrench into the lock and turn as if you're unlocking it. When it will go no further, insert your flattened paper clip. Fiddle around with it -- when it all moves a bit further, that's the first pin.


Keep forcing the paper clip followed by the tension wrench in succession until all the pins have been worked and the door is unlocked.

REMOVE THE HINGES. Using a standard-sized flat head screwdriver, wedge it between the bottom knuckle and the pin. Tap the handle of the screwdriver in a downward direction with a hammer. Remove the head and pin when they're loose enough.
Repeat this with all hinges. If the pin won't come out easily, you may have more success forcing it out with a Phillips head screwdriver.

ANNIHILATE IT WITH A HAMMER. There's a reason this is the last step -- it should be your last resort. An example of when this is a necessary measure is if you're in a room that's quickly filling with carbon monoxide. Otherwise it's just easier to call a locksmith or wait until someone with tools or the key arrives.
Basically, take the hammer and pound away. The doorknob, after enough force, will fall off (after becoming ridiculous bent and marred), exposing the lock. You'll need a new knob and lock after this, obviously.


TIPS
If you try picking your own lock and people see you, they might think you are trying to break into that house or be inspired to break into your house when you aren't there.
Make sure that you have the correct key to the door in which you are trying to unlock.
Make sure that the door you want to unlock is yours or you have permission to enter, or else you could get into serious trouble.
If you are breaking into your own home and it is easily picked, get new locks.
WARNINGS
If you unlock a door that isn't yours, you might get into trouble. Always get permission from the owner before acquiring a key or entering a home or business.
